If you didn't get to Indy a few weeks ago, the Strasburg meet is in 2 weeks at the fire station.
I've got 3 tubs of cars and kits, and "stuff" that will be on my table for sale!
Who else is going to be be there?

Strasburg has always been a very good show for me, so good they ran me out of overstock.
Thanks John and Rich for a great buying, selling, trading opportunity. Very easy load/unload, free safe parking.
Plus, 1/1 live steam Strasburg RR with a frequent passenger schedule. fantastic local family style cooking. "Don't get no better"
Well worth the trip plus all the other railroad sweet spots in the immediate area.
Rich-John , any chance to set up a Friday night / Saturday PM open house schedule of local 0 scale hosts maybe once or twice a year?
What is exact date?
We will be there supporting the magazine and also a few more pieces of Harmon Monk's collection and books. Looking forward to it!

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.........................
To quote my daughter, "Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe....."
Nev, that would be a LLLLLOOOONG expensive day mate!
But you could stay at my house and we could drive 12 more hours to see John and Rich and be there broke but smiling! I hear it's a great time.
Maybe next time...

I'll be there with two tables of estate items. Mostly brass PRR steam and diesel engines and PSC coaches. Also a bunch of built up Intermountain cars (most have minor damage such as missing grabs, but do have steel wheels.) They will be priced to sell. Believe me, I don't want to take this stuff home.
someone who looks much like I do will be.
Dear 2 Rail Forum List,
Pete, I sent you a email a few minutes ago about table availability- which is extremely close to sell out, please do not dawdle .
Dan and Amy, Rich and I look forward to seeing you both and congratulations on your announcement of O Scale Resources taking the helm of the future O Scale Nationals. We look forward to supporting you in any way we can.
Tom, we have been working on the layout visits and hopefully will have announcement about the layout open houses prior to the 2017 Strasburg show dates and always Thank you for positive suggestions as well as Marty and Bob.
This is YOUR show and we always look forward to seeing everyone and enjoy seeing new faces-2 or 3 rail scale.

Actually, they are taking over the Indianapolis meet - there have been announcements regarding the 2017 Nat'l and a party looking into hosting the 2018 Nat'l.

Want to talk to you, John, about layout visits and other activities in conjunction with the Strasburg meet but that will wait until the 15th
I am out west, for those going, I am seeking a couple PSC Erie 50 ton covered hoppers and PSC single door outside braced boxcars... if you see one please email me-- or if you have one to sell.
thanks!

If I have them on my table I'll make sure to put a SOLD sign on them Brad!
I wish I would have known about the train show in Strasburg PA. FYI; the TCA museum is open on weekends after labor day until early May, I missed the TCA museum because of being there during the weekday. Went to the Pennsylvania railroad museum across the street from the Strasburg RR.
I went to the one in Hamburg PA a few weeks ago, Sept. 11th, Hamburg is much better then the local south Florida shows. My second time at a Hamburg PA train show.
Also was at the Reading Company Technical & Historical Society the day before in Hamburg PA. Got a denim shirt with the RCT&HS emblem on it.

I plan to be there.
I'm looking to pick up some small stuff such as
Intermountain trucks or the kits,
10-15 sets of Intermountain wheelsets
and some of the regular Kadee couplers with the medium shank and center orientation. (I think they are number 740).
I'm also looking to find 2 to 3 more Yoder triple hoppers H2, H2a or H3.
If any of the dealers have a lead on any of these, I'll be happy to see you there.
Chris
Chris
i can likely help you. Email me off list
I will be there at my usual tables next to Bob Heil, the Sunset rep. I will have a few things for sale and will be taking in machine work for the shop. I may display a loco or two that I built over this past summer for my own use.

Regularly advertised in O Scale Trains and on their web site for over a year.
The dates for these meets for the next 2 years is available there now.
As you enter the first trading room there will be a very distinct void in that Tom Shore has stepped into eternity. See John Dunn's post in the OGR announcements.
The irony of that is that Tom has been instrumental in helping widows and familys sell off estates both to the delight of survivors and 0 scalers. Tom was diligent in getting a fair price for all involved. He was of great assistance in providing me with much that I needed. His work and steadfast presence will be missed by all.
Seems strange to me that there would be a meet in Strasburg around the same time as York.
Dear Eddie,
Thank you for viewing this thread. The Strasburg 2 Rail Scale show has always been held either a week or two prior or after the TCA April and October York meet. Most of the 2 Rail scale modelers that attend the Strasburg show are not TCA members but we have a few dealers who attend the York TCA show-including my business partner Rich Yoder-RY Models- in the Orange Hall and they have never in the 6 years at this venue have been concerned about the timing of this 2 Rail Scale show.
I see you live in Portland,Maine and we have a dealer Norm Pullan- Norm's O scale- from Casco, Maine participate from time to time at our show.
If you are in the area the week before, which many retired TCA members take advantage of the Strasburg area attractions and the "bandit" meets prior to the Thursday TCA York opening , please consider coming to our show -2017 and 2018-which dates are listed on many prominent O scale 2 rail sites.
As a O "gauger" I think you will find this boutique show quite unique vis-a-vie the larger shows to discover the wonderful world of O Scale 2 Rail as other 3 rail attendees have.
Thank you once again for your interest and concern.

Hi John, Ed as others who have not attended this(yours and everyone's) show might need to know the times of the show. A flurry of activity in a short amount of time.
Ed, get there early if you consider attending.
Pierre.
In all my years of attending train shows two things I have learned about show hours.
One: 99% of them all open at 9:00 am and
Two: you have to be there in the AM hours to get a crack at the goodies.
Whether they are over at 1:00 PM like Strasburg or later in the afternoon it is irrevellent.
Whatever happens, happens mostly in the AM hours.
PS; another thing about shows I have learned the hard way. If I see something on a table that I might think I need I buy it then and there. If I wait until I circle back it is usually gone.
I'm planning on attending.

I've learned to count on that happening so that someone will buy it and save me from myself,

Not really. This meet has been advertised for over a year in advance.....
MWB...thanks for your valuable input.
I wanted a person in my state to know just in case. funny, but he was surprised this so well advertised show was inside the same time period as york.
I get that.
anyway, have a good time.

Wow! I really like that philosophy, Martin. I think I will do the same thing. After looking over my collection, which isn't so large as compared to some folks, I said to myself "Gee, I really don't need any more trains."
Strasburg is a great show. I wish I could make it but not this time around. Maybe next year.

At the end of the day at a meet, I have been known to succumb to temptation.........if no one is looking,

Might be able to help Chris. My email is in my profile.
Hi JDUNN, Norm & I have been good friends for a long time. As for the Strasburg show, I guess I put my mouth before my brain. I didn't realize it was a scale meet. If you want to see something unbelieveable, You want to see the O scale layout that Norm is building. I don't think anyone has seen a more real, beautiful layout as this one he has in Casco, ME. Ed

One on eBay right now, listing # is 142142923291 .
Only one bidder so far and that's Brad.
It is funny, Brad and I have done some swapping this week, too.
That is the second go around for the hopper listing, I believe. My preference is for undecorated so I can letter and weather it myself, but at a fair price lettered and weathered, trucks and everything may still be in the cards.
for anyone interested, in addition to O scale items, I will be selling off nearly all of my On30 collection of rolling stock and a couple motive power pieces at the show.
