The other day, around noon, I got a glimpse of a NS pulling a few F units through Manassas, VA. They had to be moving to Spencer.
Does anyone know how one finds a "schedule" of when they might see more of these units moving through a specific town? I'd love to plan in advance and actually have a camera handy.

Any reports on the whereabouts of the ALCO - PA unit? If it is going to make Spencer by next weekend, it better start moving pretty soon or the clock will run out.
I thought I read somewhere that the PRR units would be moving south on the 28th at the earliest. I just missed the NS F units come through Manassas this afternoon. Didn't find out until it was too late.

Based on the time hack on this pix from the VMT Cam in Roanoke, it may already be there.
Believe the UP 949 came through St. Louis train out of Kansas City yesterday and the EMD 103 was pulled out of the museum here in St. Louis over the weekend, Could they both head east on an NS train together?

Five of them came thru the Kenova District on a special 047 symbol Sunday.I saw the NKP PA, Burlington Z,the CNW and two more I could not i.d.

I talked to Steve Barry today and he sounded like he was going. It's just too far for me though, especially after my trip to Chicago last weekend for the CRPA.

We are making a trip from Harrisburg, PA to Atlanta this weekend. Thanks to this forum, I looked up the dates again, and realized we could stop at the Transportation Museum Friday afternoon. It should be interesting to see all the railroads represented. Timing is everything followed by Luck!
Everything I've read sounds like this was a great show. About the only noticeable absentees were the Santa Fe F unit and the Espee E unit from the CSRM. Any other significent units missing? Sounds like Doyle's PA Bluebird just about stole the show, are at least got the most press.

I was surprised yet also not surprised that the operable Western Maryland F7 and MARC 7100 cab car at the B&O Museum was not included.
I was hoping they would have had a WP F7 from Portorla. That aside...it was a blast. Lukcy to live in the neighborhood!!
Other wish list from Baltimore would have been B&O EA #51 and C&O Hudson #490. No doubt with CSX being not currently friendly to moving old equipment, this would have been difficult to arrange.
This is the 2nd event in the past few years where the EA would have been a nice addition (the first event was the Washington Union Station 100 anniversary). Here is hoping that with the Roundhouse collapse work finishing up, a cosmetic restore for the EA can be scheduled in the coming years and perhaps also include mechanical work to allow it to be moved.
