if its abs ..there spray can plastic stripers out there that are plastic safe..some as i read used baking soda..I do autobody paint for a living and id use plastic safe stripers on bumpers a mirrors housing without attacking the plastic..walmart has some and your local autobody paint stores has them too.

im not a big fan of that.. brake fluid also has a oil in it too.. that could penatrate into the plastics=can cause fish eyes when you paint..
