Am repurposing roof with windows of a Polar Express puppet car and need to completely remove the marionette window silhouettes. Any suggestions on most efficient way to completely remove them without discoloring, hazing, scuffing or marring or degrading the white plastic they're imprinted on? Need to completely remove them so that no noticeable trace or shadow of silhouettes is left. Would appreciate hearing method(s) you've used to successfully remove similar silhouettes from current Lionel baby madison cars. Thanks

I f you don't find a way to remove the silouette from the frosted material or if you want to preserve the origional strip.

You can replace the frosted window strip cut from a sheet of frosted stencil mylar available at any craft store.

I use it for windows in buildings that I dont put interiors in or sometimes I just cut a strip and glue the ends together and surround a bulb inside a structure to soften the lighting effect.

It would be useful if you could post a photo of your disassembled car to help people understand the setup. If they are like my Lionel baby Madison cars circa 1973, the frosted window material is all part of the roof plastic and it has special molded shapes that enable the roof to lock onto the body of the car. (while I was writing this up ADCX Rob beat me to the punch!)

I think I might like my cars better with the silhouettes, if they were generic people.
