The paving crews are done and all that is left is the landscapping and final touches. In the following 2 pictures a crossing can be seen as well as a "causeway" between the 2 tracks. I am looking for suggestions and ideas on how to complete this area. I originally was going to go for the roadway on crushed gravel bed look but I do not like the way it is coming out. Thinking maybe just build up ground and ground cover up to roads edge. But I am having problems visualiing the scene. Has anyone here on the forum modeled such a scene and can you post pictures if available?

Many thanks!

Ken

I did a double take on it as well.  Regardless of where it was taken, it's a great scene with excellent modeling detail!

Agreed.  Very impressive scene.

Very nice scene indeed. Someone better close the lid on the ice chest though. I also like how there appears to be oil stains on the road  just to the right of the tracks. You can envision cars sitting there idling dripping oil over the years. So many other details as well.

To the original question at hand, I think either method mentioned above would be good. Your pictures look good, maybe some smaller stone to help blend in the grade a little more?
