Since there's ten new inches of snow in my New Hampshire backyard, it's time to head for the "woods" in my basement and add more forest to my long-neglected Youngstown & Southern Rwy.

My summer-harvested and dried out sedum and goldenrod have duly surrendered to hairspray and Woodland Scenics ground foam, and now nestle obediently in the distance. Slow-going work, but satisfying, too.

No allergies to the goldenrod - although I think the problem is their pollen, and these old dried out thing don't have a trace of it

 

As for the backdrop painting. I picked one light color on a paint chip, and then had them mix two more, successively lighter shades. After painting, I airbrushed the color divisions to soften the transition and make things a bit "hazy" the way mother nature intended.
