Thought I would start us out with a few pictures of a night time harbor scene. I took these with just a point and shoot camera so they are not great...but I will soon do some updated pictures of the progress along the waterfront and will be using my Nikon.

It seems like other things keep coming up, so I have made very little progress on customizing my coal ramp. I did get the end supports installed and weathered, as well as some handrails for the bottom steps.
I was at the Fine Scale Model show this weekend and stumbled across this young couple with the most awesome building kits. Nicest product I have seen in thirty years of modeling. The finished kits are unbelievable. The instructions are plain as day. The fit and finish is beyond compare. They even lift off their bases on the layout with a dowel system. See above photos in post.

Thanks for all the pointers. I have started my first area of scenery, the local pulpwood yard. The office is scratchbuilt, the red dirt road and dirt yard is from my pasture. I still have to add trees and other items. I have finally got the backdrop to the point I am satisfied with it, wish is was better but I think I can live with it. The local is about to drop off the GM&O woodrack.
