Good Morning Everyone,

I will start off with a model I made many years ago. It comes out once a year and we place it in the living room. I know the structure is not accurate to the time frame, but I have always built what I see in my mind.

Merry Christmas to all.

Very nice to see this gem by you, Alan, and always glad to see your postings of your wonderful craftwork on this forum.

And now that you have told us your secret, that you "always build what I see in my mind," we can readily understand why everything you have put your hands and imagination to are so successful and enjoyable.

Very Merry Christmas, to you, the children, and your wife.

I'm proud to know you.

In honor of my Uncle Eddie who died in the late 90's are some photos of his last layout in Florida. I can remember as a kid visiting him in NJ going downstairs and seeing this huge HO layout, especially the work table with the lathe. Back then if you wanted an locomotive you had to 'roll your own'.

Uncle Eddie even posed for an advertisement for UniMat in the Feb 1957 Model Railroader magazine (see attached pdf file).
