Here are a few shots of some scenes on the TMB Club Layout. In the coaling area the Coaling tower is scratch built by one of our members. The Harbor scene is pretty much laid out but the final water effect wont be applied until later in the year as we have to climb over this scene to get to an interior scene just behind this one. There is one funny scene we show all new member what can happen when they fall behind in the monthly dues.

Lets see what you have this week

Steve

Steve:

The parts for the tanks are from Plastruct but not a kit. The hemispheres are VHH-500. I cut a circle out of SSS-108 sheet stock then glued the hemispheres to both sides to create a wind girder. A lot of spherical tanks don't have wind girders but some do. I use the wind girder as a solid glue surface for the leg structure. You could go one size bigger if you want with VHH-600.

You can buy an O scale kit (KIT 3026 - one tank) for about $43. I am not sure of the tank diameter though.
