Good Morning Everyone,
I will start out with a custom tank model that was built by Stan's Tanks that I am reconfiguring into a Dupont chemical plant for one of my customers. Lets see what you have been working on.

I am on a long term quest to add more lighting to my buildings now that SMD LEDs are so readily available. This is my Altoona Model Works tower that’s been on my layout for a few years now retrofitted with some soft LED lighting and 3D printed interior parts. The relay rack and interlocking machine are simplified and stylized quite a bit. You can barely see the rack unless you peek in the side window. The nice thing about this little project is that all the parts I doodled up can be printed for my other towers now.
Looks great everyone!!
Wow Norm! A very interesting use of lego pieces for that switch machine!

Haha, that bad huh!? I only tried to make the parts good enough to give an impression through the windows. I printed the track board in clear PLA so I could paint around the signal relays:
Next one will be the old Quality Craft Jacks Tower at the other end of the layout. Looking around for interior shots. The relay rack will show up better on that one I think.
The Cabin Creek Coal Tipple BTS kit I began two weeks before Thanksgiving is complete. Signs on the doors and the main Cabin Creek sign is all I will be adding to the structure.
When I declare the Tipple an scenery is completed I will share the final photos.
Saturday night I listened to college basketball on XM, painted add-on scenery pieces, cut out signs to mount on the structures, and tested the LED lights. The instruction book says I have used the 1300 pieces to complete.

The model looks great. Can't wait to see it in place.

Seth,
Great job on this! Like Bob, I can't wait to see it in place.

@RSJB18 getting close Bob, thanks much.
But I volunteered to assemble the B.T.S. Cabin Creek Tipple for a model train good friend whose close up vision is gone. He lives In Danville WV in the vicinity of the mines. Only thing I know about Cabin Creek is Jerry West played high school ball there. I had several pairs of Jerry West All Star Converse basketball shoes…
The Better Than Scratch BTS production is originated in WV as well…
I would love to deliver the finished Tipple very soon. But not today. Over 6” of the white stuff everywhere here.
Jim’s layout sports a great coal freight train.
Another great SSS. Thank you all for posting.
SIRT, amazing as usual. Ben is one lucky guy. Did you add a little heat to the one bent gondola?
Chris did you use dollhouse chandeliers?

Where did you get the chandeliers?
Just a rustic office for my scrap, lumber, and coal business on my layout. It’s named for my brother-in-law and nephew, also a model railroader, but in HO. A lightly weathered Plasticville shack.
Nice work everyone! I'm a little late for this week, but I thought I'd share my progress on a Plastruct kit that my wife bought me for Christmas.
Although the kit didn't specify it, I thought the catwalk needed safety railings on the ladder side as well. In these photos, I'm test fitting the extra railing (black plastic) before painting and gluing in place.
Next, I'll add some decals and the bottom valves.
Nice work Anthony. Plastruct must not be using my reinforcing pads anymore. Mine had rounded corners. I guess they just had you cut them out of sheet plastic.
Great work, everyone!
Peter
