Good Morning Everyone and Happy New Year. I will start with something I created in the past. Lets see what you have been working on.

Happy Sunday everyone. Great work Alan - especially with that shell logo!
This week I focused on the windows and interiors for my background flat. @SIRT always mentioned using printed interiors, so skipped full interior details this time.
The shades were made from an envelope and styrene. I created blinds using the “comb” method but will probably save those for another project. The interior came out nice enough to show off.
The interior images were AI-generated using ChatGPT and DALL·E. After a little cleanup and being stuck an inch or so inside the structure, I’m happy with the results.Figures between the background image and window add a sense of depth. Here’s the AI-generated image used for the bay window:
And here’s the effect - it looks pretty good from multiple angles:
And here’s the entire building flat. I think it’s pretty close to done. I used AI image generation for the bottom floor too, but may try reworking it to get a better interior perspective.

Great stuff, fellows!
I finally finished the Buildings Unlimited kit that I began in September...... I weathered the loading docks, staurwells and roof detail. I may also add another coat of "blackwash" to the brick at some point. I did place it on the layout and it serves as a "view-block" to make the trains disappear from sight.
Have a great week, everyone!

I am always in awe of you guys on this thread Wish I had half the talent as you to create these masterpieces I had nothing to do with this except placing it on the layout This was donated to the club and I call it the hidden gem as its hard to see when there

Gorgeous!
Alex, your building flat and interiors are wonderful. I employ many building fronts due to limited space and would love to have interiors in them. I could never come close to your talent.
Here's my recently finished Woolworth's building with my first first Miller Engineering sign installed. In hindsight I should've installed in the left back corner of the building.

Here is an SW-9 I did for a customer so no fixed pilots, Kadees or correct railings but I still like how it turned out.

Nothing yet but I'm brainstorming ideas for the back straight on the upper level. Not much room to work with but I'm leaning toward a freight/ passenger platform to serve the two tracks.
The section below the window. Need to do some track work and replace the 2 switches first. It will be a diorama that I will be able to remove to access the track below.

You've sure packed a lot of fun railroading into that space Bob. Looking forward to your next addition.

Thanks Jerry.
I'm making the best of the space the land owner deeded to the railroad...... The hope is that the owner will amend the deed when the other occupants (aka- children), vacate the premises.
I'm not Charter Member #1 of The 48 Club for nuttin'.....

As always, thanks to all of you for sharing you’re terrific work!
I constructed my layout on open grid work with my main tracks on risers, so I can vary elevation of the terrain around the tracks. In one peninsula, I’m creating an industrial area containing various industries including a petroleum terminal Alan made for me. After I located the trackage, two large roughly rectangular holes were in the center of this area. They reminded me of the large dikes you’d see in a large tank farm, so with two larger tanks built, I’m starting work on the scenery in this area.

Great posts this week, and Happy New Year. Great interior details here as well. Inspired by this, over the break I've been cranking out laser cuts.
And trying to do something unique - here are a couple early stages for office interiors. Lots of cutting and assembly and lots of painting.
Now that I have the CAD work done I may try to sell a few of these on the Buy/Sell section of this forum...

Wow! Everybody’s work looks amazing this week. I didn’t get much done this week. I have been working on replacing some passenger car lighting with constant voltage LED systems. I think I got 8 cars done this weekend. I weathered a more modern style coal loader kit from Lionel. Still trying to perfect my weathering. Maybe a little heavy, but I’m happy with it. Have a good week everyone!

Dave,
The switcher looks great. I must ask, what did you use to created the concrete flooring and piers in the steel mill?

Great week of “stuff”, everyone!

Older photo showing how I've added a 48W whistling station and a modern reproduction (I've got 2 originals) of a 58 lamp post into my layout. The switch to the 48W station is permanently "on"; I control the whistle with a button in the layout fascia.

Hey Dave, Thanks! The floor is ceiling tile. I’m not sure what the pillars are made of (it’s been a long time). Maybe foam. I like using that and I keep the imperfections in tact. It makes it look worn.
