Good Morning Everyone,
I will start off with something I constructed in the past. Let's see what you have been working on

Beautiful model, Alan.
I built this model of the Phillips, Maine train station from a kit by Banta Modelworks. It was the first structure I made for my 10’-by-5’ model railroad after the terrain and track were in place. I wanted a prominent station at the front of the layout.
The station prototype was built in 1901 by the two-foot narrow-gauge Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes Railroad. It remained in use until the railroad closed in 1935 and is still standing.
Photos 1, 2 and 3 show the station as it now looks on my layout.
Photo 4 shows most of the kit parts.
Photo 5 shows the assembled inner walls and base.
Photo 6 shows the results of several steps. First, the inner walls of the bay window were added, followed by milled clapboard exterior walls, which I painted grey after they had been glued to the inner walls. To keep the walls flat, I used clamps, blocks and masking tape to hold the outer walls tightly against the inner walls until the glue dried. I then assembled the window frames, glazing, doors and exterior trim and painted them green before installing onto the model in that order.
Photo 7 shows the scribed platform planking which I trimmed and fitted before gluing into place, as shown in photo 8.
Photo 9 shows the roof panels prior to assembly and photo 10 shows the panels installed.
Photo 11 shows the cupola parts and photo 12 shows the assembled cupola painted and installed, with the roof shingles in progress.
I hope these photos are helpful in seeing some details of the assembly process.

Wow! Alan, you outdid yourself on that house? duplex?.. hotel?
Melgar that's a fantastic train station!
Two incredible buildings. The attention to detail by both Alan and Mel is superlative.
Four buildings that represent kit bash and scratched built. I have submitted article transcripts to OGR for possible publishing.
The first building started out as an Carolina Craftsman single story kit (no longer made). The upper stories were scratched built. Everything is wood construction.
The second building is a Korber single story Tool & Die Shop. The upper stories are scratched built with wood.
The third building started out as an MTH Transfer Freight House. I cut the side walls down so they were even with the front /back walls then scratched built the top stories from plastic.
The last building has an interesting history. I built a Hydro-cal Berkshire Valley Ice House kit for a customer (last time I am doing this!). Naturally the ice house arrived in multiple pieces. The customer graciously agreed to allow me to design and build a wood ice house as a replacement.
Alan and all, inspiring showcase this week. Excellent projects. I second Coach Joe, Alan and Mel great buildings. Mel thanks for the detailed construction pictures. They really help those of us considering one of these buildings. Steve, as always, looks so real. Every little detail. Joe amazing kitbash.

@MELGARPlease share with me the best options for glue to assemble wood laser cut kits. I’ve promised a friend to assemble a coal tipple for his layout. I plan to begin by the end of July on the tipple. So I must order the right glue to have on hand a good supply before I begin.
I appreciate your sharing with us your work again today. The completed Depot kit is fantastic.
Oh, And please share with us the source for the depot people and the scenic accessories.
Thanks again!
Seth,
Thanks.
I use Titebond II yellow carpenters glue to assemble wood models - available at local hardware or home improvement stores. The figures on my layout are made by Arttista.
MELGAR
Ok, I have that on hand and ready to go. In fact, I used the Titebond II for the glue source when laying my roofing granules as ballast. I hope my tipple finished as well as your structures.
Have a good an safe weekend 🧨🇺🇸
