Good Morning Everyone,
Here are a couple of pictures of a past model I constructed.
Let's see what you are working on this week.

Alan,
This is great! Takes me right back to growing up in the Ohio Valley.
A lot of work lately on improving the look of the trainroom itself. I had my basement stairs re done and a wall built to the side of them to put some train shelves on. Still when viewing the layout from the far side aisle. You were looking at the backside of the stairs. There is a narrow path there to reach the backside of the layout. I thought of just adding plywood to the back of the stair stringers and painting it sky blue. Trouble was. I still wanted to store things under the steps. The sight line left you with pretty much no room to get in there. When I built my mountain over 20 years ago. I cut the fascia board to match the slope of the mountain. Simple solution was to re do the fascia board with a background scene from Scenic Express. This raised the height of the sight line but still allowed you to reach over the layout using a step stool. A few scrap pieces hid the higher portion of the stairs. Still some finish work but it looks worlds better than the black hole that was there. Will add an access panel with some Velcro to the backside of the mountain to access the track. Should have thought of this the first time around.
Scenery is fabulous!
Awesomeness! I really like the mill you have in the background. Did you create it?
Yes
We need to talk.
Wow,
excellent work guys!
Nice Sunday stuff!
Dave, the radio graphic on that switcher makes it look like a nuclear powered engine. Boy that NYC was really into experimentation, jet powered railcars and nuclear powered switch engines!
Joe,
I love that graphic.

What make/model of switcher did that start out as? I have visions of doing something similar and am trying to decide what to start with.
Did you take any pics along the way?
