Good Morning Everyone,
I will start with some pictures of my model shop. It is all boxed up and will be moved to a new smaller location. I will still be able to construct as I have in the past. Lets see what you have been working on.

Alan,
I know it's bittersweet. I'm glad that I got to see it and see where all the magic happens.
Dave
Sad to see it go Alan. I'm sure the new shop will be just as nice.
So how much wound up in the trash? You must have collected a mountain of "I might use that one day" scraps.

Alan,
I am happy that I was able to visit that one time to pick up the diner that you meticulously put together for me!
Will you still have room for your classic car? That was an awesome garage!
Got some more time in on my tavern project yesterday. Hope to make more painting and printing progress today.
Something I'm working on, in the very preliminary stages. Please excuse my idea of tanks as compared to what is normally featured on this thread. My rendition of a Fossil Fuel Corp. well field and storage facility.
To sink the Lionel bases into the scenery I used two sheets of foam core poster board,a thick and a regular.
Layout planning
This has been a long time in the making. My storage tanks are AC-Delco oil filters. I found the Fossil stickers in a Fossil watch store at an outlet mall and the whole idea was born. Still a long way to go.
Alan, I’ll just echo others’ comments that I was glad to have visited you in your old workshop. Was cool seeing your projects and set-up. I’m sure you’ll create some wonderful models in your new space!
Norm- that is fantastic!
Coach Joe-I like your model, it looks great.
This week I’ve been splitting time between three projects: assembling and priming details for my latest storage tank, trying to figure out how to scratch build a garage door to match the one on my home, and finally re-numbering an MTH dummy that I have duplicate numbers of.
Here’s an overview of the detail parts for the tank and the garage door in progress along with a reference photo of the door I’m trying to model. I’m starting with 1/2”spaced roofing sheet from Evergreen. Eight windows and all those raised panels are killing me!
Anthony,
I did it using a flat sheet. I put a cut square behind it and hit it with a hammer to create an opposite indent. You can practice with .020 and .030 thickness and see how it works.
Round the corners of your manway reinforcing pads with some sandpaper for your tank. The pad dimension in scale is 54 inches by 65 inches
Great work.
Coach,
Your oil industry looks fine. Good work.
Norm
Your details are first class. Amazing.
Thanks everyone for your nice comments. I will provide progress pictures on the new model room. It will be a very cozy one.
Alan, the magic happens wherever you are. You can create great models in a closet if you had to. Hope the move goes smoothly.
Nice work as always guys.
Andy
