Good Morning Everyone,
Since I am currently building an oil drilling rig, I though I would post some pictures of a crude tanker and a liquid natural gas tanker I cnstructed some years back.

Very nicely done!! Did you scale these ships? What would the approximate scale be?
Wow! Your work is amazing!
great work, thanks for the pics
That is really nice!
Alan
We've doubled up here so I deleted my thread in honor of your tankers!!!
Here are a few photos of some recent development on the home layout. Found some old track at local swap meet that I bought intending to have extra rails and ties grace my track side. The ties were Gargraves which I glued together in either 3x3 or 4x4 patterns. The rails were broken Atlas switches, once torn apart the solid rails look so much better than tubular track parts. Just remember to paint them up in rust color. The other photo I was toying around comparing my two Lionel G-5 10 Wheelers realized Geez, the scene looks as good as the engines.
Alan; that tanker is unbelievable. Your work is just amazing as I am aware of you haven built my 2 yard tractors. I get so many compliments on them.
Spence,
Thank you. I enjoyed building those tractors for you. It was a challenge.
Wood,
The tankers are built to 1/4 (0-scale). They are just not as long or wide as they would be in reality.

Yeah....I was about to post to Steve's starting of this week's thread and it was gone! I didn't know what happened so thanks Steve for letting us know. I'll bet that Alan just didn't notice but it was nice of you to delete your thread so that there wouldn't be any confusion....
OK...here is a morning scene I took a few days ago:

Alan, your tankers are outstanding.
Alan, wonderful photos of the grain silos.
John, now that's what I call a subway station.
Alex, your work is always top drawer.
tr18 Great job on the platforms. I am planning something similar. Did you scratch build the stairs or are they from a kit?
Thanks
Al
Great stuff everyone!
Awesome ships, Alan! Matt

Those were made using the Lionel Pedestrian Walkover, cut up and then reassembled to the size we needed.
