I've been working on a kitbash project for what I call a reline shed for my Overbeider Iron and Steel Company layout. I started with a K-LINE trolley barn, removed the back double door wall and spliced it on to the front. Then I added some resin factory walls from an unknown building kit.  Made a rear solid wall from a sheet of 0.060 styrene. I plan to reuse the original roof with its lighting so I added some bracing to the upper wall sections and made a new roof line from cardstock.  Replaced the 2 open windows on the side with more styrene an added a couple of roll up doors.  I'm going to build a foundation out of 1/2 inch MDF and add a loading dock platform in front of the door bays. Paint and weathering will follow.

Trying my hand at salt weathering on a couple of curved girder bridges.  The green was a little brighter than hoped.  So, experimenting with a rust wash to tone it down.  If I don’t like it, not hard to start over.

I like it. Yea- the green looks too clean, some dirt and grime should help.

Nice kit bash. Looks good Bill.

Nice work everyone, thanks for sharing!

I was toggling between layout scenery work and finishing a scratch build model.
here’s some progress pics of the front and rear porches on my house. The first attempt at front porch and stoop was slightly undersized, so here’s the second effort in process, laying out the columns and gutters.
IMG_9591Here’s the rear porch on left. Just finished the ceiling underside. Now I have to detail with ceiling fan and recessed lights  IMG_9592IMG_9593

I got some more prints done for my new tavern effort. I designed and printed my own furniture for the apartment and beer taps for the bar using Tinkercad. The back wall with shelves turned out ok after some experiments and I will probably use the full resin one. Now I have to figure out how I want the upstairs apartment laid out then I can start on the lighting.

Your front porch looks like the one we had on our previous house.  Changed from a flat roof with railings on top to a sloping roof.
