I am working on a new tavern kit from Frenchman River and found a spot for it to live in on the layout. It will have a fully detailed interior eventually with homemade LED lighting. I decided to print the interior as an insert. Hope to have it done in the next few weeks if things go well:

I hear you Peter, the molded in doors and windows are a real pain in the neck.
Wow guys some really nice progress this week! Norm looking super!
Here is a coal barge I knocked out- plan to place it in my harbor. It was originally a car float barge, but I modified and added some “coal”
Great work everyone!

Dave,
Thanks. I found sand blast media from tractor supply. There are a few different sizes I don’t recall which size this is. For a maybe 10 or 15 pound bag it was maybe less than $20. You get plenty of material for much less than modeling materials.

Thank you.
Great work everyone, and thanks for sharing! (Wow Alan, Wow!) well, I’m late as usual, but I am getting closer to finishing up my George’s Song Shop record store kit bash. I have finished the interior details. I have the outside brick walls painted and using the mortar formula now to weather the brick on the mower and upper levels of the building. Then it is just tackling the electrical aspect with lighting. Have a good week!
Rich,
The stuff you found is also known as black beauty. It is actually slag from a steel mill. Under a microscope it would be seen with very sharp edges.
LT1,
Very nice job on the record store and the interior.
Great showcase everyone.
Very nice LT!
