Hi! does anyone know if the new Sunset models Wabash E8 will be all blue or the bluebird (blue, grey, white) paint scheme?  I tried emailing Scott Mann, but no reply.  The website says blue, but since both versions have blue, this is a little ambiguous.  I'm trying to decide which ones to order.

Thanks!

Not to worry, He'll get back to you. He is a VERY busy man.

I have the same situation with the CB&Q's E8/E9's. I'm interested in the red markings paint scheme, so I emailed Scott and he replied promptly. However he couldn't give me a definite answer since it's so early in the project which is completely understandable.

I put in a reservation for an A-A set as it is the only thing I can do to help things move forward at this time.

Which "A-A set" did you reserve? My recommendation to Scott was; produce the CB&Q E8A units in the pre-1959 black nose stripes, with the CB&Q E9A units with the post 1960 red nose stripes.

That way, pretty much everyone will be satisfied.

Hot Water, that would be excellent! Indeed my reservation is for E9's.

Also, if 3rd rail already found a way to reproduce the stainless steel panels on their ATSF F7's, why not take advantage of the same method on other models such as the CB&Q E9's!

Later on I'll start a thread to discuss the Q's prototypes so we can chime in and put together a whole document for 3rd rail to consider.

I would suggest that you eMail Scott directly, instead of posting here on the Forums. You will get much better results that way.
