Suspended Ceiling Classroom Layout | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I've been planning this day for over 12 years. I just put up the framework structure for my classroom layout. The layout will consist of 2 seperate loops. I'm using Lionel tubular O gauge track. The loops will be Legacy controlled. The pictures you see are just the framework. I plan to secure it to the ceiling I-beams this weekend and also screw the track down to the framework. Looking forward to using this working layout as a teaching tool.

The framework is made out of 1" poplar wood. I'm using heavy duty clamps to clamp to the I-beams and bolt to.

I'm a Woodworking/CAD Drafting instructor at the high school level.

I think that this is a great idea. It is a wonderful way to introduce students to our hobby. Keep us posted with your progress.
