Switch setup, how to eliminate unwanted character

Hello all ,

I'm new to DCs and would like to know how to eliminate an unwanted letter r number when I am programming my switches through the AIU. The companion advises  to press the left Arrow key on the remote? Where is the left Arrow key.?  Please  advise.
