Switch sparks

I'm lost, after putting up to 20 Atlas switches, on the main part of my railroad. A new added yard is giving me a problem, switched to Ross switches, getting sparks when engine runs over, as well as my meter car. Thought my wiring was wrong,checked that. So I switched back to Atlas switch same issue. Engine sparks and won't continue? What are your opinions?
