First off, I want to say "Happy Father's Day" to all the Dads and Grandads out there!

Lots of us out there love switchers, so lets keep #SwitcherSaturday rolling!

Last week's link is here: https://ogrforum.com/t...saturday-2015-jun-13

Today at the Murnane house we have my MTH NYC Dockside Switcher #9990 on duty!

Note: The background images in the first picture were printed from http://www.bigindoortrains.com - I think they look nice!

Enjoy your weekend and if you get a chance, please post some pictures or video of your favorite switchers!

Best...Rich Murnane

p.s. Miss the post on Saturday? NO BIG DEAL, just keep posting pictures of your favorites until the next #SwitcherSaturday

p.s.s.  In honor of Father's Day I'm including what I think is a really cool picture of me, my kids, and Santa on a train ride in Baltimore from a few years ago, although it wasn't being pulled by a switcher!

Here is a quick one of almost all of the Monopoly Game Railroads switchers. I still don't know which is the "Short Line". The game is not one that we are able to play in our family because of the brutal and grueling end game where only one person ends up feeling any good.

A K-line and Two WBBs.

imageAnd here is a repost of my girls with a New York BEDT (among others) vet now painted for NYC living out life as a Park engine in Riverside Park Manhattan.

imageHere is my boy also in Riverside Park the stone structure behind him hides the ex NYC Westside main tracks that Amtrak still uses to take trains from Penn Station to Albany and beyond. They built a huge structure to bury the tracks in the park from around 40st to 70th and again 72th to 124th street. Then above ground to the swing bridge at Spyten Dyvel where it reconnect to the main tracks at the Wye there. I tried to keep it RR related. This picture causes my own shoulders to hurt.

Happy Fathers Day!

Yup, I would like to participate more... but right now all I have is a barely started layout that is slated for dismantling.

HOWEVER...

It's gonna' be replaced by a bigger n' better one! The building is ready to be finished on the inside and then I can occupy! Just tonight I started tinkering with the pencil n' templates for the "next one".

Still, though, maybe I can shoot a pic of one of my switchers before next the SWSAT.

Get away weekend to the upper tier counties of Pennsylvania.  Wellsboro and Corning RR.

You gotta love all the green and wet, A couple of the upper tier counties have less than 20,000 people.  Wellsboro, Tioga Co. about 40,000.

More ducks and geese than people.

Two counties to the west, McKean Co.   Knox, Kane, Kinzua RR. remains of the Kinzua viaduct. Major construction, as this state park is being upgraded.

Been there many times. Family lives in Bradford. Went across the bridge back in the day. Tornado came through there.

I'm BAAAaack!

Happened to think of one I haven't shared so I just snapped a couple of pics of my last HO modeling back in 1997 or so. This from my proto-lanced theme I called the "Kansas City & Gulf".  Basic concept: Bankrupt line as modeled in 1969-1970 time frame. I modeled the mythical "Ozark Subdivision".  Liked junky looking engines then (still do), and the bankrupt theme and time frame lent itself well to that.

Anway... here's a couple more for this week's SWSAT!!
