It's #SwitcherSaturday time!!!!

Lots of us out there love switchers (shifters, docksiders, yard goats, critters, etc.), so lets keep #SwitcherSaturday (a.k.a. SWSAT) rolling!

If you missed last week's SWSAT you should really go take a look, it was a ton of fun!

This week at the Murnane house...
....NOTHING STILL.... <<< the trains are still in boxes in the basement :-(
So much going on I really haven't had a chance to do anything downstairs with the trains yet, sorry guys!

I did dig up this picture from this time last year, which I think I never posted - so I hope you like it! I also met a couple guys from the Rappahannock Model Railroaders last Sunday - they had a layout going at a local country/agricultural fair. I'm going to go to their next meetup in early Sept and I hope to visit their permanent layout before that.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend and if you get a chance - post some switcher stuff here!

All the best...Rich Murnane

p.s. Miss the post on Saturday? NO BIG DEAL, just keep posting pictures of your favorites until the next #SwitcherSaturday

Happy Switcher Saturday everyone! Rich, no rush to take new pictures. Hope everyone is adjusting  to the move.

My contribution this week is a rather clean looking, bell clanging, Pennsylvania Railroad B6sb #1446. Sorry, no patriotic colors, but just classy basic black. Seen in the "socially acceptable" rods down view, she is doing some passenger switching and running backwards.

She was built at Juniata in 1916 and eventually scrapped in January 1950.

Happy SWSat!

Got a little time to run trains this week.  Fired up the smoke unit on PRR #99. Pretty cool little switcher. A couple of S-2's and a MP-15 chillin' in the new yard too.

Hang in there Rich, only 142 days till Christmas. Plenty of time to get some trains running.

Nice shots Brian and Tom. Don't worry Rich, any post is a good post. You will have new stuff to post before you know it.

Bob

Yay! SWSat is on!

We are off to a great start today.

Dave C. I love the look of your layout. That New Haven engine is very nice.

This week was very busy with travel and a new job. I have not made much progress on my current projects so I pulled out some new ones. Here is my Lionel not quite B6 that is newly removed from its dusty box. I got it in Feb at the meet when I met Tom P in person. I don't think it has ever really been used and needs some work cleaning it out before I try to run it.

The tree superstructures I made while watching TV. I found I can get so much more done while the kids are visiting thier grandparents. I realized I have so many buildings and no trees so here is the arbor committees start. I still have to clip the loops. They need somepaint and leaves.

i know, not really a switcher, but pretty cool, red, white and blue though.......

Excellent shots.  I have two MTH bicentennial diesels, which I thought I would never collect, but couldn't resist the creativity of the paint schemes.  I have to say the paint schemes during that celebration period in 1976 were outstanding! In the shots above I have never seen these. Thanks for sharing!

Nice stuff posted this week...as always!  Here's an ALCo Road Switcher 3 fresh out of the paint shop in the Jersey Central's late-1960's, B&O-inspired blue & yellow paint scheme.  It's time to put this engine to work and get 'er dirty!!  The model is an Atlas O Trainman RS3...and yes, it will be weathered and 3-rail scaled at some point!
