First, check the gauge of the wheels on the offending cars and correct, if necessary.

Second, check the gauge of the switch, particularly at the frog.  This is second, since your other cars negotiate the switch without a problem.

Good luck,

Ed

Didn't know you are three rail.  My solutions are valid for 2 railers.  Why are you asking here?

When I was primarily 3 rail, I found Lionel Standard O cars to commonly have issues with being in gauge.  The same held true with Lionel engines.  I was using Atlas 3 rail switches mostly, #7.5, and #5 with a few 0-72.

It's funny but I took some 2 rail Atlas switches and 3 railed them.  The frogs worked fine with 3 rail wheels.  The guard rails needed to be repositioned.

This post was moved to the 3R forum in error:  The 6021 / 6022 turnouts referred to are the old Atlas [ by Roco ] 2R ones.

The probable problem is that the 3 rail Lionel wheelsets involved have the FastAngle [ or whatever the correct word is ] wheelsets;  the back-to-back of the flanges is less, and thus they derail on the guardrails -- Lionel postwar rolling stock by comparison  will [ or should ] go through these turnouts without problems.
