Switchman figurine

I trigger some of my switches with a magnetic reed switch. My plan is to put a magnet on a switchman figurine's base. Finding these figures in 1:48 is a problem. Either they are ridiculously expensive(alone or as part of sets) or unavailable. I would like to relieve my plastic army men of this task. Any ideas?
