I am interested in members insight into the subject show at the NYS Fairgrounds in early November. Is there much in the way of 3R O scale or is it primarily HO/N/G? Are there private as well as retail sellers? We are going to Rochester at some point in November but can make it Nov 7/8 if show is worthwhile for "0". The Floorplan shows the vendors onboard.

I go every year to this show coming from Watertown, N.Y. There is plenty of o gauge and in the past 2 years it seems to me there is more o gauge then anything else. It is a nice show and you will not be disappointed.
Ireland, in my opinion, the Syracuse show is well worth attending, particularly since you will be in Rochester and will only be about 80 miles (1 1/2 hour) from the NY State fairgrounds via the NYS Thruway. There is a good variety of O gauge product there, with both dealer and private offerings. Several forum members sell / display / operate there, including some OGR Forum sponsors.
Parking is onsite and free. Kids 15 and under are free.
Go for it - I live in the Rochester area and go there just about every year, usually with a car load of grandkids.
Enjoy!
anyone else having trouble accessing the Train Fair web site??
I cant get on, it keeps "kicking" me out!
I expect to a have bunch of MTH Tinplate Traditions to sell, as well as new and used Lionel/MTH. I have cleaned out several older private collections in the area and will have some good stuff priced to sell. There are several private vendors of vintage Lionel & American Flyer in both O and Standard Gauge. Don't forget to check out our "1:1 Scale locomotives and equipment" on permanent display too!
I will be posting a list of vendors and exhibitors and the show map next week.

Here is a list of vendors and exhibitors participating in the 2015 Great New York State Model Train Fair. Like every year, the show is sold out and we have approximately 13 new vendors and exhibitors this year. The show, now in it's 41st year is the second largest public model train show in the northeast. Please click on the PDF file for a map of the show and plan your weekend of fun for the whole family and great holiday shopping and collecting!
