OK, if they pull this off, where will they run it?

The Trust says on their FAQ page that there are 3 railroads that are willing to support the engine: Steamtown National Historic Site of Scranton, PA, the Steam Railroading Institute of Owosso, MI, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad of Akron, OH.

The FAQ page also states that the 5550's current design will allow her to run anywhere the 611 could.

We all took pictures and Gabe got video. Because of my tendency to mess up video posts, I’ll let the guys handle that. It was good to see them running out of souvenirs. If I had thought of posting earlier, more people might have seen it in time, but they sure didn’t have a problem filling up the parking lot. As I said elsewhere, been there, blew the whistle, got one of the last few t-shirts.

ETA: Forgot to mention: sometimes older people or others with mobility trouble hesitate to go to these events. Should Gemini host another open house, the whole facility is accessible and there’s ample handicap parking right at the door. I left my stand-up wheels at the restroom door, but there was enough room that I could have taken the UpWalker all the way in with me.
