Working on a temporary folding table top railroad set up for Holiday. Setting up four 6' by 2.5' tables.
Looking for a foam product for sound deadening and a fabric(40" inches or wider) to go over top that.
What is a good pre-cut foam exercise/play mat to use. The fabric they carry at wal-mart is not too good(kelly) on color. Looking for something in a holiday green.
I've seen mats on amazon. Any suggestions??

Check at a Fabric Store for fake fur.
Found a dark green acrylic felt on amazon that may work. 72" wide by whatever length I need.
Some of the cotton broadcloth advertised are too light weight according to reviews. Need to locate the foam squares.
How about some indoor outdoor carpet on the tables, and skip the foam? That is what we use on our Modular layouts.
Try a big box home improvement center, or this is what I bought, in the emerald green color.

I like Aflyer's carpet idea. Some here have said the carpet does a good job of quieting, even with Fastrack, although I have never tried it. I have also seen some layouts with green (and some other colors too) carpet that looked very nice, IMO.
Thats an idea, carpet.. Hadn't thought of that. Lowes/HD will cut it just to my width. Found some foam squares but i'd have to deal with trimming etc. Carpet sound like a good one..

My wife and daughter already think I'm weird enough...fake fur might be pushing it..LOL.
I'm leaning towards the hunter green felt... since its a temporary Holiday Layout.
White felt is also a great, inexpensive option from your local fabric store.
