Any ERR upgrades you do would require complete rewiring in any case, so I don't think this is an issue.
Doing the conversion, could you fit remote operating couplers? That would make it a sweet piece.

Mine looks like it arrives today, I'll have to check to see if there's any way to fit couplers. From the look of the unit, I suspect they'll have to be a bit longer than the existing ones. I suspect the couplers will be the biggest challenge.
Lee,
It appears that you and GRJ were among the first here to disassemble this engine so i'll direct my question to you. After i removed the four screws holding the cover to the speaker off, i noticed there were four holes in the speaker frame and four matching threaded holes in the fuel tank BUT no screws! Were these missing on yours as well? The parts list that comes with the engine makes no mention of these screws.
Thanks for your help.

I didn't notice those holes and there were no more to remove. The body comes off although you have to push against the four hooks from the body and gra into the central part of the body, as I indicated.
Thanks, Lee. Yes removal of the body was a piece of cake - thanks to your instructions. I was referring to the area inside the fuel tank where the speaker is. There is the cover over the speaker directly under the cab held on by four screws, and then it appears there should be four more screws holding the speaker down to the inside bottom of the fuel tank.
Well, they weren't there from the factory and the sound was fine, so i just reassembled it without them.

I'm not sure they were there or not on the ones I took apart. I just do not remember.
I willb e taking another new one apart next week and will check and report.
The screws were not there, they instead opted for the foam on top of the speaker to hold it in place.
John, did you put in couplers and ERR?
Yep, I'm bringing it to Harry's on Monday if you want to see it.
