Can a Lionel tank car with ps rail sounds be used on an MTH layout where PS-3 is the "operation system" ? Everything I run is with TIU, hand held remote and PS-3 locomotives in constant voltage mode. I think I'd like to have one, but not if I can' get the full sound. Some advice, please.

Yes. The cars work conventional or with any operating system. They do not have any Legacy components
The tank cars are not command control (except the Vision Line ones but I don’t think that’s what you’re asking about). They’ll make noise so long as there’s power on the track.
Thanks. That's what I understood, but needed some verification.
I believe they only make noise when they're moving, that's how the sound boxcars work.
I have a set of the ethanol tankers and the sound (if you want to call it that) reminds me of someone inside the tank banging on it with a sledgehammer.
They are just trying to get out Dave, can you blame them?
