I'm in the Charleston SC area and thinking of going to this meet on the 18th with a couple of train friends - we are all from "up north" and use to the PA / NJ / NY area train meets - I know this may sound "not nice" but should we even bother going ???

I certainly would not expect this show to be anything like an Allentown PA or Edison NJ show however - - - I know this is a tough question to ask - just wanted to get your thoughts

Thanks in advance

Joe; if people don’t attend these meets, vendors will stop coming to them as well. I reckon you could consider it supporting the hobby and supporting TCA (if you are a member). My suggestion would be to attend and enjoy yourself.

We (Terminus Chapter) had a two day show here in the Atlanta area last Friday and Saturday and it was very well attended by vendors, TCA members and especially the general public. Without the support of folks in the hobby, there would not be train shows.

I'm planning on taking the trip from Myrtle Beach to Summerville tomorrow.  Did anyone go today?  Is anyone planning on going tomorrow?

Coach Joe. I made the trip today from Myrtle Beach. It was 2 hours and 100 miles. There was not to much in O gauge. Only one dealer and he owns the Train Store in Summerville. Other then that everything thing else was HO and S. Very small show. I guess I’ve been spoiled from PA,Nj and NY shows. But we do need to support these shows so hopefully they get bigger and better. There is a show coming in Myrtle Beach in February 12&13.
