Trying the new format, want to see how stuff posts.  I do not like the new format for reading, pictures appear smaller than before.

Posting embedded videos is NOT as easy as before, now I need to know the format of the video.  Haven't yet figured out how to post from Youtube, which is where I post all my stuff.   Maybe there is a tutorial all ready on this site that tells me how to do this.

If you just LINK to a photo hosted elsewhere, it will get resized down to fit this forum and that's it. You have no options for viewing the full-sized image.

However, if you ATTACH a file FROM YOUR OWN COMPUTER, it will upload here, resize to fit the screen plus you can click on the image to display it FULL SIZE.

Click on this image and see what happens.

It is so much easier to just upload images from your computer than it is to link to photos elsewhere. And you get all the new bells and whistles if you use this new feature.

OK, good point, but if I do want to upload a photo, shouldn't it display properly on the screen.  The photo I uploaded shows up just fine on my 20" monitor at home, but displays distorted on my laptop with 14" screen.

Wow, feedback is always good. Nice touch!

"Unfortunately, we could not process the video that you recently uploaded. Here are the details:

Video Name:WGH Test Clip.mp4

Please note that we only support the following video formats: .mp4, .mov, . flv, and .avi. Sometimes, even for videos in our supported formats, there are encoding issues that we simply cannot resolve.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We suggest trying to re-encode your video using our recommended format (MP4 using H.264 encoding, with AAC audio) prior to re-uploading the video on O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum.

Sincerely,

O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum"

Now, the clip I was uploading met these requirements, but was labeled an "m4v"  which is still technically an "mp4" with H.264 encoding. I might see if I can simply change the type and upload again.

Let's see if the FLV i just made worked any better...
