I am excited that my Texas Tommy set of switchers and the mint car have arrived. I also ordered the add on cars (helicopter flat, tank, and caboose). In addition, I have the Lionel Texas Special Milk Car (special run) and two extra flat cars from the LCCA program (one of which with two Texas Police cars). I am wondering if I have all the Texas Special cars now or on order when I add the Lone Star Division TCA Texas Special Silver Mint car?

Here is my list so far:

Texas Special Tommy SW-1 and Calf

LCCA Mint Car

Helicopter Flat

Tank

Caboose

Special run Milk Car

TCA Lone Star Mint car

LCCA flat car (Texas Special graphics from the extra car set) with Texas Police Cars

Box car from the Lionel Texas Special set recently produced

Are there any other cars made by Lionel that would match this set?

There are beautiful photo's posted in a thread just a little ways back titled "LCCA Texas Special".  Shows set box and individual units.  Good job in posting photo's.

I agree with Keith, a Texas Special culvert pipe car.  Perfect for Texas oil.  I would also like to see a TS longhorn cattle car with sounds like the Vision line release.

Anyone have an opinion on whether that is doable in the switcher?

If it's relatively straightforward to do, many folks will go this route for sure.  The locomotive supposedly already has an updated Railsounds/crewtalk feature.  So perhaps we can somehow just get by with a TMCC board upgrade -- similar to what was done with "command-ready" locos from years past?

The lack of TMCC on this direct from the factory was a bit disappointing for me.  But given the superb talent among forum members, I figured SOMEBODY would come up with SOME way to make it happen.
