That was posted on the Amtrak rider site last week. My favorite LA Union was on it....first even though they said no order.
I added Prince WV as a historic station....the one and only Chessie station built of many planned. Still 100% intact....but in need of restoration.
Does AMTRAK own all these stations?
I don't think Amtrak operates thru the Cincinnati Station any more.
Amtrak used to run from Chicago to Indy to Cinncinnati to Washington. Was a long time ago we took that trip, not sure that route is still in service.
I figured LAUPT would show up on the list. I'm glad to see San Bernardino also made it. Unfortunately for the photographer, they had already finished the shopping center across the street from the depot. Here's a full front shot taken a block away.
Union Station St. Louis is pretty spectacular but its a hotel now, if I recall. I love Washington DC and Philadelphia.
Nice thread to start a Sunday morning, Swafford. Thanks for the post.

That route is Amtrak Cardinal trains #50,51. Runs pretty much the same route as the C&O train of many years ago. It also stops at Prince WV referenced in my post above.
Details of my trip on the Cardinal and SWC are below in the link.
Really cool site. And to think, I've been in all but five of those shown on the page! Anybody been in all of them?
Of course, there are many more that could be added to the list. Denver and Dallas come immediately to mind.
List fails without the Lackawanna Station in Scranton, PA.
got my favorite, Portland!!
i don't think amtrak goes into richmond anymore, either.

Or the Lackawanna station in Peapack, NJ.
Hi all,
As with any of these superlative lists, there's a great deal of subjectivity involved. My wife and I were recently down in Richmond, VA, and stopped in to see Main Street Station, a grand old building dating to, I believe, 1901. It's a true gem. If you've ever driven by Richmond on I-95 you've undoubtedly spotted it as it's right alongside the highway, which is elevated at that point. Worth a stop if you're ever in Richmond.
Well, that's my two cents' worth.
Happy training and God bless America.
Chris
