I bought a book "Model railroading with MTH electric trains" by Rob Adelman
I am thinking it is not the book I really wanted
Should I have bought Barry's?

(Great book, Barry!)
Ok skyhookdepot whats the gag? What am I missing?
For just $2.45, how could you go wrong?
Since it pretty much describes how this guy built his layout using MTH products, it could be interesting reading for the beginner.
It's not intended to be a comprehensive guide to DCS, so you can't compare it to Barry's book.
In reference to SkyHook's post; we rarely know what he's talking about.
What is $2.45?? The Adelman book was $24.95 plus...
Amazon.Com:
Lists it for $8.92(new) and $2.45(used).
The E Book is listed at $9.99.
Just google the title.
wow thanks for pouring salt in the wound

You're welcome. At my posting, I had no idea what you paid.
You asked where I got the $2.45, and I told you.
I worked with Rob in getting his book together and published. It is basically a "getting started" guide to model railroading with MTH trains, or most other trains for that matter. It is definitely not anywhere near the comprehensive guide to DCS that Barry's book is.
Rob's book also is about 10 years old at this date, so be aware that some more recent advances may not appear in that volume.
