I've kept a tight lid on posting any more photos of my layout since last May when the Youngstown & Southern was chosen to be the cover story on the January issue of O Gauge Railroading. Taking the photos was both a trial and a joy. Writing about building my pike was just plain fun.

But let me tell you, friends, when I saw the photo of that little SW 1500 switcher of mine going over the trestle on the cover of the January 2013 issue of O Gauge Railroading, I thought, "This is like Playboy Magazine and the Y&S is January's "Miss 2Rail."

Minus the cleavage of course.

Wisecracks aside, my great thanks to O Gauge Railroading's editor-in-chief Allan Miller and publisher Rich Melvin for choosing the Y&S, and while they were at it, giving me the thrill of a lifetime.

Herewith, a few pix not seen in the article.

Y&S, please take a bow.

Thanks, Malcolm, and when I grow up, I want locomotives and rolling stock as elegant crafted as yours.

Paul,

Your layout is worthy of this honor!

I decided a long time ago that when I grow up I want scenery like Paul Lally, locos that perform flawlessly like Railroad Guy and track as good as CWEX. If I can get there I too will have a first class layout such as yours.

Congratulations, malcolm
