I am sooooo ready for York are we there yet!!!!!
This will be my 2nd "York." First was last April. My experience with meets prior was small, Greenburg types. I was stunned at the size of the April York meet. I'm told this one is bigger. Going with a friend who works so Friday is the day. The 2 hour drive from Bristow,VA will be filled with "layout talk" and the "gotta have stuff" we intend to pick up. Can't wait!
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
For me.....7 more work days and one call night......dreams of York keep me going......
Peter
Getting close now!
-Greg
10 more days of work for me. Then a quick early morning flight to Baltimore. A drive up I-83 and it will be Thursday noon opening for my very 1st York. I wish it would come sooner.
Let's hope it's a good one! A week of Indian summer would be great!

5 MORE WORK DAYS.......YIPPEE!!!!
Peter
Best Show on Earth is The TCA Eastern Division York Train Show.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

6 days? Show doesn't start on Sunday.
Just think, 14 days and it will be a memory, with the bill a constant remonder,

Eddie G. has always had the countdown go to the "start of York Week" not the opening of the meet on Thursday. There are activities all week before the York Meet opens on Thursday.
That explains his count. Thanks.
The Reliquaries of Rusted Relics never have appealed to me, but I can see that others are ravenous to attend them.
I cannot wait. This will be my second visit to York. My boys are bummed. I won't let them skip school to attend the show. LOL. They had the day off from school in April and were able to join me. My wife is going with me. I think she's actually excited.
4 more day's. The weather is looking good. it looks like Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday will be the best weather in several years.
Just got another week's worth of work to do in two days.
One week from today..... doors open, wallet empty.

You must have gone straight to Vince's!
Eddie....with that snow heading for Maine, I'll bet you are glad you're coming south for a few days!
Peter
Compared to Maine, the weather is, but be prepared for freezing at night.
Youd think you guys are getting out of prison after a 20 year bit.
Or the last day of school. Which may be more accurate, as now we kids can go and play all day.
Great weather for York week.
See you at the Great York Train Show. My 67th.
One week from today it will be over. Was it really worth the long drive and the money spent.
ALWAYS......

ABSOLUTELY
Peter
Great weather, see you there !!!!!
Peter,
Couldn't agree more.
Hope to see you there Eddie! Yes, the weather is shaping up nicely.
Need to run some errands and get some car work done Monday & Tuesday. Plan to do some hiking along the AT near Duncannon on Wednesday, and watch some real trains, then wake up early for the Thursday breakfast at Round 'o Clock diner. Off to the Fairgrounds for a day of fun and over to Quaker Steak for some dinner. Friday should be more relaxed, talking with a few folks and taking in the OGR Yellow Hall gathering.
then wake up early for the Thursday breakfast at Round 'o Clock diner.
You better be early, before they run out of scrapple. Unfortunately, them yankees don't serve grits.
Weather forecast:
0 day's to York week. We are on our way. Thaaaaaats all folks.
Safe travels Eddie. I am at the same hotel as you starting Wednesday. Perhaps I'll see you there.
Safe travel to all.
Peter
Absolutely--everyone travel safely!!

Need a road report from the Southern route thru Shrewsbury. Last time there was road work all over the place. Need to decide between Vette and Truck.
Peter, I'll plan to be there in time for breakfast on Thursday.
Thanks.
