The double door High Cube scale Lionel box cars....a difference

But are those air lines made from piano wire , brass wire or just a plastic sprue?

PRRHORSESHOECURVE,  I just checked the high cube from last year and the piping feels like metal. On the Double door high cubes the holes are there for the piping.....................Paul

This years batch also comes in a flimsy box that more closely resembles card-stock rather than cardboard.

I just recently received the 8 door B&O car and it does not have brake rigging underneath.  I like it better this way cause now there is nothing to break when I grab it from underneath.

I just sent a email to Lionel about the missing piping under the car. I'll see what their response will be .......Paul

Considering how many under-body details I've compromised over the years, not having the piping is not necessarily a bad thing. Besides, when the car's sitting on the track you can't see it anyway.

I won't argue that point with you AGHRMATT. Fine details do take a bit of special care and you don't see them underneath. I just feel that if they were offered on the first run of High Cubes they should of been offered on the second. When you move to more scale like cars why do a reversal so to speak and start eliminating details. Just my thought on this....................Paul

They could sell the pipes or wires separately.
