I was given this train, sans Loco. Anyone know what goes with it?

Looks like my dad’s train, which came with a 1684. Year-1942. JohnA
My guess is one of the pre-war PRR Torpedoes #1668 or #238
David Doyle’s prewar Lionel guide, shows a 1936 catalog picture of those cars, with a 290E locomotive and an1689T tender. Can’t see the numbers for the cars

Thanks guys!
I have a 224E Gunmetal Loco with a 2689w Gunmetal Tender, pulling a 2655 Box Car, a 2651 Flat Car with logs, a 2652 Barrel car with barrels, a 2654 Sunoco Tank Car and a 2657 Lionel Lines Caboose. Greenberg's Price Guide O and O-27 Book from 1977 says 224E Gunmetal Loco came with the 2650 Series Freight Cars.
The cars have latch couplers, so it's before 1937.
That looks like Outfit #290e, which would've been headed by a 259E locomotive / 1689T tender, circa 1936.
