Wow, neat looking model. If I modeled the postwar era, I'd for sure get one.

Hmm.. it's a start but there's a lot of "junk" missing around it.

Yep. I grew up in Florida, as the ONLY kid I knew of who lived in an actual house and not a trailer until I got to high school. Most trailers I saw were larger than this, but all were parked in sand lots with all manners of junk scattered around them. If I had one of these on a layout, it'd be weathered so strongly that Malcom Furlow himself would wonder if I'd gone too far, and practically buried in a sea of junk and debris. It'd also have several filthy looking kids (all way too young to be by themselves) standing around.

I never once saw a new trailer, and wondered as a kid of trailers ever came new looking at any point in history.

My wife's family lived in a park when she was a kid, and her brother's family lives in one now.  I don't know about the one she grew up in, but the one where her brother lives is pretty neat and clean.  Yes the trailers are older, but there's now garbage or trash laying around.  He also has a a garden shed where they keep the kids' bikes, the lawnmowers etc.
