Thanks.  I've never used Gesso - did not know it could be sculpted a bit.  Might have to try that: a definite advantage.  I've been using pink-dries-to-white quick-drying spackling paste because when applied thin it dries and hardens and can be sanded in about 10 minutes and it washes off so easily.

It's a 1954 Pontiac Chieftain.  I think it was made by American Excellence.  Pretty expensive - around $55-$70 even at discount, but they make best detailed, nice looking model cars I've seen.

No - not going to happen.  I have about a million words in print right now - professionally.  Every article, and all of my books, regardless of topic, was a lot of work to get completed.  Doing an article or something in OGR or CTT is too much like work - a lot of working back and forth with the editors and all.  Allan Miller is a good editor  but honestly its just the same whether its OGR on my toy trains or the London University Press or CRC Press.   I've received some e-mails along the same lines as your comment.   I appreciate all the interest in my layout.  So I plan to post a picture spread and discussion on my layout here, in the near future. I am flattered that so many people want more details on my layout.  This way will be a lot quicker to do and more fun for all and save me (and Allan) a lot of work.
