Mr. Policastro should be commended on his modeling skills, as I have noted some of his work here on this forum; however, I do not think any reasonable person would confuse him with the Great Man himself, George Sellios. As for Frank53, since he has so liberally borrowed from George Sellios’ genius in the past, I can understand how there could be some confusion.

I had someone make a comment about something I did looking like it was inspired by George Sellios, which I guess is a complement. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I've never seen his work, nor have I referenced it.

You've really been missing out, Frank. I have all of his work (Print or e-pictures) that I could get my hands on. He inspired me to get into this hobby. I dabbled in it before, but he lit the fire that has never extinquished.

Truly a master.

I think Selios over-weathers things to the point of caricature.

To see George Sellios' work up close and personal, check out these two Allen Keller Great Model Railroads videos:

The Franklin & South Manchester, Part 1 (DVD)

The Franklin & South Manchester, Part 2 (Available on VHS only)

I guarantee that you have NEVER seen detail like George does it. While he models in HO scale, the ideas you will see on his railroad can be applied to any scale.

You certainly have a right to your opinion.
