Interesting colors on the Green version. No Apple Green trim like the original and a black roof.
OK. Same engine. I see 2 photos one a 2 tone blue and the other is green with a black roof. In the 2nd photo the water is a different color. However, the car in the photo is blue. I am sure Scott will clarify.
The 381 should look good with either the traditional 420 Blue Comet cars or the State car Blue Comet colored cars.
Scott,
Any modifications with this release to avoid the scratching where the engine body swivels on the base?

I saw the tow tone blue one at York and it is very pretty! It goes very well with the comet state cars. BTW I thought the other pic was a green version too.

No, Any suggestion on how to take care of that?

I had a similar problem on the Super 381. I glued a nylon spacer to each corner of the underside of the body, just thick enough that it protrudes slightly below the floorplate and prevents the metal floorplate from contacting the pilot platform.

I was wrong about the modifications. They have corrected the issue using a heavy bracket between the base the engine shell. I just got my first chance to run it in a long running session (my wife left the house for a few hours).
