Does anyone model an old west town or Civil War era layout? Would love to see some pictures if you do or have in the past.

I would be interested in seeing such a layout, too. At one time I was thinking of building one but never happened. Best bet to see a western layout is to get a "Narrow Gauge and Shortline Gazette" magazine.
I am modeling "old west", as frozen time, towns barely hanging on after silver was
demonetized in the late 1800's, but hit again by the Depression, so dated 1940.
Some towns that weren't ghost towns by 1900 became so by 1940. I posted pictures of my assembly of kitbashed kits comprising crumbling buildings, one or two foundations and open cellars, and RR station with collapsed roof. This is an abandoned ghost town. I think my Arsenic Springs town was posted, too, as well as Coalforest. The first is a dusty desert mining town full of shafts and tipples, but there are circa 1930's vehicles about, the second more modern, to 1940, with ranching and agriculture prominent and much less sun-baked decay, although not yet a ghost town (wait for
WWII to start and residents all move out to defense jobs!).
