Thanks Gary, for listing that review - it looks like a decent desolderer (is that a word?) We used something similar at work, only the vacuum for sucking the solder was created from a nearby air pressure line. Ours used similar tips and also required occasional clearing of the solder delivery tube. And of course, replacement parts weren't cheap! I believe the first ones we got may have been Weller.
Given the expense of the initial cost, and the replacement parts, it seems to require (IMHO) a high volume operation to be cost justified. That said, it only takes one stubborn pin soldered to a massive ground plane inside the board to justify this sort of extra help!
