Here's a comparison between a real one & my engine I just painted. I chose #34 as a tribute to my dad because he was born in 1934 & he's the reason I got interested in trains in the first place.Got new decals in the mail yesterday to replace the old ones that fell apart last weekend. Came in under half price for me to do this myself from what MTH wanted for their Alco version. Granted, their's had sound & all kinds of electronic crap, but I don't want any of that junk anyway.

Nice job there!
Very cool!
Really very nice job. Congratulations.
Looks great...
Thanks a lot. When I'm stone cold dead, Jr will be running this around some future layout & think back about how he remembered me building it up & that I told him it was about his grandpa & that it was special because it was different & not just store bought, at that moment, me & dad will be right there next to him to see it run again in his own mind.
That's a good job of reproducing it. You dad would be proud of it, no doubt.
About the best you could hope for in $160 worth of mix-matched parts.

Great job. Your Dad can be proud of your work. By the way
could not help but notice your picture, as an ageing Baby Boomer
I am a huge Godzilla Fan. My 14 year old grandson and I can
not wait for May 16th. I hope the big guy takes it easy on trains.
Love the Picture of Godzilla.
Many thanks,
Billy C
If the original was any indication, when added to the fact that the producers have thrown in some Easter Eggs for the fans, I'd say that the trains aren't going to make out too well, along with everything else in his path...
