Very much enjoyed watching the 1/32 big boy video but whats happening with the real UP big boy? It appears as if absolutely nothing has been accomplished in getting the UP big boy back into steam. I could be mistaken but it looks like the UP has literally stuffed the big boy into an exhibition hall along with their FEF3 for visitors to take photos of and admire. A truly sad 'state-of-affairs' for such historic locomotives - so much for the supposed UP steam program!

Yes, except they no longer allow "tours" nor "visitors" in the Cheyenne Steam Shop, so there isn't even any photo opportunities any longer.

Here is my large scale 1:32 live steam BigBoy running in the garden:

Note the very different sound effects compared with the 1:32 MTH BigBoy.

I've always wanted one of those, but I'd rather 'go big or go home' and have a 1.5" scale Big Boy.  See starting at about 25 seconds.

This crosses the line between a model of a locomotive and being an actual locomotive in it's own right...which is fantastic. Others have said it here, that there are quite a few of us who are involved in more than one gauge ( being both G and O ) but this is in a class by itself. Thanks for posting this..and sharing what is one really remarkable machine.
