MTH had a successful forty-year run and Mike deserves his retirement! Godspeed! :-)
@gunrunnerjohn posted:How about they solidify what will happen to the replacement electronics of all the existing products? How about another run of DCS remotes and the existing Rev. L TIU's?
Why do we want new engines when we don't know if we can support them or even keep running the existing stuff?
Well thought out GRJ......a "put the horse in front of the cart kind of thing ,"........
Less we not forget the thumb wheel replacement
There was talk (maybe speculation?) about a support company being formed to address the electronics and parts and component replacements. Any new updates on these reports?
Mike is a business man first, but he is also a hobbyist himself, and he seems to always have cultivated a sincere relationship with both his retailers and individual consumers of his products. I believe he will do the RIGHT thing for his many loyal customers! :-)

Well stated!! Its too bad we weren't flies on the wall to overhead important Mike Wolf and other MTH nabobs conversations, re: "we're barely keeping afloat because [insert reason]". I imagine the pandemic was a killer (no pun intended) as far as the well heeled suddenly A) dying (or family member) of Covid, B) handed a pink slip C) toys just getting too expensive D) Finding a new "bright glittery" hobby to spend money on. E) You fill in the blank.
As always, my 2.5 cents
Love it when anyone can weave the word "nabob" into a conversation. I think Spiro Agnew famously called the media "nattering nabobs of negativism."

I'd like to think that. Do you think he might fix the "dark green" paint on this brand-new 2020v1 CP D-Day Diesel a bunch of us have been stuck with this week?
IMHO
No, historically they won't fix wrong colors that I'm aware of. You may have to swap out the shells or weather it heavily.
This produced over there stuff, has it's problems. Once it's out the door, a smaller company can't do much. One that's closing it's doors, even less.
If it didn't run, that would be different. I understand the feelings. I got an Amtrak engine that had the wrong colors. All I heard was crickets. After around 2 years now, it doesn't sting so much. I've gotten used to the colors.
I'm not saying your engine's color is correct, I just think you are not getting it changed.

Me thinks you misread the intended sarcasm. ;-)
