well the above pictures shows how not to decide to change curves under a sheet of 4x8 plywood from 063 curves to 072 and why did I decide this two letters "BB"............ from lionel 2014 !

I had an area 2' square for my 200 lb build and a whopping 7" of headroom to work in.

It took me 2 days of stretching contorting and a few pretzel manuvers plus a few musical words but mission accomplished at this end of layout!

I ran a 4-8-4 santa fe 3751 on outer loop to see what bugs were in my track work seeing as I really couldn't see the furthest back area as I really could not use any line of sight to my amazement I had two areas that only required the tightening of track screws to pull track snuggly to the homasote so as to keep the lead truck from climbing over the top of rail head.

would I recommend this to others not so much but it is amazing what we all will do when the bug hits to acquire an engine that requires 072 curves.

now all I need is to get the order I placed from Ross for 8 more sections of 072 and the best part the other end of layout is wide open I can see what I am doing and after this section above will seem like a cake walk.

I can't tell from the photos, did you bank it too so we can run at full speed?  Also, was this the same leg that my son's HHP-8 was having power issues on, or was that the inner main?  Did you ever get that fixed?  Either way it looks like your O72 loop will be done long before mine is.  I really need to file my taxes so I can start mine.

sinclair... yes same leg sons train was on I have run trains since and no issue like that but in thinking he was running opposite direction will try that and see.

no I didn't bank the curves mainly old fat --s cannot reach up above at farthest part of curve much less see where to put it.
but I did run my Lionel 2-8-4 #3751 at 150 mph and nary a peep or rollover so I don't see any issues with that.
I hope by end of first week in April to have the other curved area done.

As you know from other thread of mine mth bb isn't quite right yet.

dude get motivating on taxes as feds pay you no interest while using your funds!!
