My father's older brother will be 97 in May. He served in WWII and was a Co-pilot on a B-24. Later he flew F86's in Korea. He is the person my father always looked up to and tried his best to emulate in his life. Uncle Albert is retired from Anheuser Busch. I have been collecting beer cars and the K-Line Budweiser cars are some of my favorites.

Last night while running at the Great Big Greenhouse, the consist was pared down to just my Budweiser cars....

So, for my Uncle Albert this Bud is for you!

"The Greatest Generation".  I know a teacher whose dad had a history like that, as a

MSgt. and then Sr.MSgt., enlisted, when enlisted, and not all officers, could be flight crew, he was in WWII on bombers, (his office had a model of one of the B-24's he flew on) in Korea, and in Vietnam.  Unfortunately, he did not live into his nineties, but his family said, than when all the military came to the funeral, their jaws dropped at the display of his service ribbons.
